I’ve used this title in an essay and my master’s thesis before once as the final chapter in my master’s thesis in 1997 and in an essay in my first book Mothers Love around 2023.
Both times I wrote about a new art movement based around a sort of travelling art festival. In my drawings I sometimes called it the Peace Game and at other times the Multifaceted Game.
Even though I check the world news each day on my I Phone now when it comes to my activity I am only interested in art and music and how they connect to spiritualism.
Conceptually I am very inspired by Edward De Bono and his ideas around the importance of creativity and the term he coined: lateral thinking.
“Lateral thinking is concerned not with playing with the existing pieces but with seeking to change those very pieces”.
Edward De Bono
I like this quote by De Bono about how to change one’s perception in the way one sees things by not seeing how things were in parts but how new parts can go together.
“We need creativity in order to break free from the temporary structures that have been set up by a particular sequence of experience”.
Edward De Bono
I like this quote by De Bono about how creativity can break one out of repetition of old ideas.
I have been inspired in my art by installation art, drawing artists through the past 100 years and performance art particularly the Fluxus art movement and music video clips particularly by the musician Bjork.

Through this book I’ve tried to couch my art and essay writing and life in a historical context through the many essays to build on my understanding of spiritualism in art and life.

With my essays I’ve tried to include as many images as possible as when I buy an art book usually a coffee table book, I hardly ever read the essays but just marvel at the images and artwork titles and date they were made.

In conclusion I hope my readers have enjoyed my book of essays and haven’t finished all the essays yet but with collating it shall take roughly two months to write mainly every day a new essay seven days a week. It’s mainly studying the teachings of the saints Mary MacKillop and Saint Francis that I have found most interesting. In my book version not my website I shall only have my own photos and drawings.
