“My nutritionist has done a great job in changing my diet after we established, I am allergic to things like gluten – I can’t eat pizza, pasta and bread. I have lost some weight, but my movement is sharper and I feel great.”

I’m kind of a vegetarian but I still eat eggs drink milk and eat yogurt and have honey sometimes. So, in other words I’m not a vegan.
I’ve been fighting the battle of the bulge after hurting my foot overdoing bare foot beach walking last year and stayed home drawing and making drawing collages for three months and comfort eating. I put on fifteen kilos in three months and haven’t been able to shift it despite walking and swimming laps each morning early on weekdays.
“I don’t eat meat. I’ve been a vegetarian since 1971. I’ve gradually become increasingly vegan. I am largely vegan, but I’m a flexible vegan. I don’t go to the supermarket and buy non-vegan stuff for myself. But when I’m traveling or going to other people’s places, I will be quite happy to eat vegetarian rather than vegan.”
Peter Singer
I like this quote about veganism and I tried a vegan diet several years ago but missed the milk and honey the most.
Despite being veggo for around five years and on and off before that I still have had heaps of health issues over the past four years including anxiety, skin cancer ear operation, eye operation, skin cancer off my arm, now chest pains and weight gain.
“To keep the body in good health is a duty… otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear.”
Buddha
I like this Buddha quote about the connection between good physical health and good mental health.
In conclusion I feel vegetarianism is good for me but it still doesn’t mean I have perfect physical mental and physical health but regular exercise and a healthy diet gives me a strong chance to have a good life.
