Great Korean Coffee

“A cup of coffee can hold a whole world of conversation.”

Lines inspired by comfort K-dramas like Would You Like a Cup of Coffee? highlighting how Korean cafes serve as safe havens for quiet reflection. I like the initial quote, and I have met many people in Korea and enjoyed platonic conversation on this trip.

While in Korea for the last few days I arrived in South Korea on the 24th of September I have been enjoying the coffee in Daejeon in the coffee shops, for take away or ice coffee at the 24hr convenience stores.

However, I have been trying to only have one strong coffee a day and a few decafs but sometimes I have a few.

“To me, the smell of fresh-made coffee is one of the greatest inventions.”

Hugh Jackman

I love this quote by Aussie actor Hugh Jackman and I agree thoroughly. The smell wakes me up in Australia while I order my first coffee of the day before starting my morning exercise.

I haven’t done much since arriving apart from drinking great Korean coffee, visited my artist friend’s house for lunch with her family and doing my ten drawings a day project and I am mainly working on a book of drawings for one of my favorite Australian charities: Mary MacKillop Today which provides education, housing, clothing, medicine and food for impoverished families and children around the world.

“Love one another, bear with one another, and let charity guide you in all your life.”

Mary MacKillop

I love this quote by Mary MacKillop and it’s one of my favorites. I think it epitomizes personality so kind, altruistic and compassionate.

In conclusion I love the great Korean coffee literally and metaphorically.
