In March 2018 I undertook a studio residency at the Big Ci in Bilpin in the Blue Mountains. There was a great community of artists and Rae and Yuri who ran the space. I made a series of large and small drawings revolving around my experiences there and ideas of community and spiritualism.

This book of drawings was made in May 2017 while backpacking in Europe.A flaneur is someone who is immersed in café culture and watches and records society in motion. While in Venice the highlight was visiting the Venice Biennale. My favourite artist was Kiki Smith who made very sensitive figurative drawings on tissue paper.

Mothers Love Drawings
This series of drawings was made into an artist book of original drawings and DVD slide show and is inspired by my wise and caring mother. I am also deeply influenced by the YouTube videos and correspondence letters with the famous clown doctor Patch Adams who talks about the profound influence of mothers love.
